The tow boat crew evacuated the vessel to smaller boats and made their way to the shore where Marshall County Rescue picked them up. The boat is still burning and fire fighting efforts continue.
GRAND RIVERS, KY , Jan. 30, 2024 – A tow boat has been reported on fire just south of the Kentucky Dam Locks, emitting heavy smoke visible from the engine room.
Emergency responders from Livingston County and Marshall County are currently en route to the scene to address the situation.
Details regarding the cause of the fire and any potential injuries or damages are forthcoming and will be released as soon as they become available.
