CARBONDALE, Ill. (NewsFirst) – The Carbondale Police Department is inviting the public to visit its headquarters and learn more about its operations and personnel.
The department will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, November 4th, at the Department of Public Safety located at 501 South Washington Street.
The open house will feature a walking tour of the facility and an opportunity to speak with members of various departments, including investigations, crime scene/evidence, patrol, support services and telecommunications.
There will also be police vehicles on display and a K9 demonstration by the department’s canine unit.
The event is free and open to anyone who is interested in learning more about the Carbondale Police Department and its services. No registration is required.
