MARION, KY (NewsFirst) – Crittenden County Schools have confirmed that students at Crittenden County Middle School and Crittenden County High School were placed on lockdown Monday Afternoon, and then evacuated to the football field following a statement made by a high school student. The school resource officer and local law enforcement immediately investigated and determined no immediate danger, according to the news release.
According to the school district, students returned to the classrooms and were dismissed at their regular time. A safety sweep was conducted by law enforcement and no danger was determined.
In an update on their social media page, the district confirmed that a student at Crittenden County High School has been charged with making a false threat.
