PUTNAM COUNTY, Ill. (NewsFirst) — Central Illinois residents were shaken this morning by an earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richtor scale.
The earthquake occurred at about 4:40 a.m. and was centered near Standard, Illinois. Standard is located in Putnam County.
The U.S. Geological Survey said there were no initial reporst of damage or injuries from the small quake.
A 3.6 earthquake struck part of Illinois Wednesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
