MURRAY, Kentucky. (NewsFirst) — In September of 2023 Calloway County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit began investigating a potential drug trafficking ring in Murray, KY. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that Andrew Heckathorn was distributing various illegal drugs.
Through a combined effort, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, DEA, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police were able to catch Heckathorn in the act of distributing methamphetamine. Heckathorn was stopped and located with approximately ½ pound of methamphetamine and a quantity of prescription pills in Murray, KY. Calloway County Sheriff’s Office then secured a search warrant for his residence.
At the execution of the search warrant deputies located additional quantities of methamphetamine, suspected Fentanyl pills, anabolic steroids, additional Schedule II and III drugs, firearms (one of which was stolen), drug trafficking paraphernalia and a clandestine methamphetamine lab which had recently been used.
Heckathorn was transported to the Calloway County Detention Center where he is currently lodged.
