CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (NewsFirst) — A woman from Frohna has been arrested and charged with domestic assault and armed criminal action after allegedly hitting a man with a vehicle and leaving him on the ground.

The Cape Girardeau Police Department said in a statement that officers responded to a report of an unresponsive male in the 300-block of N. Spring Street on Nov. 25, 2023, around 7 p.m. The man had serious and life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to a St. Louis Area hospital.

Detectives learned that the man’s injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle and identified the suspect as Cynthia Perry, 45, of Frohna. Perry was located and arrested on Wednesday, and formally charged by the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Perry is being held on a $250,000 cash-only bond at the Cape Girardeau County Jail.
