OUTER SPACE, (NewsFirst) – While it won’t have a huge impact on earthlings, if the skies are clear Friday night where you are, you may get to see a light show, depending on where you are located on Earth. The National Weather Service Space Weather Prediction Center in Boulder, Colorado has issued a “Strong” G3 Watch for a geomatic storm that’s on its way to Earth.

The prediction center says with 3 CMEs (coronal mass ejections) already heading toward Earth, the addition of a 4th, “full halo CME” has prompted forecasters to upgrade things on Friday to a “G3 Watch”. Strong conditions are now likely on 01 Dec.

CMEs are defined as a significant ejection of magnetic field and accompanying plasma mass from the Sun’s corona into the heliosphere. CMEs are often associated with solar flares and other forms of solar activity.
