BELFAST TOWNSHIP, PENNSYLVANIA (NewsFirst) — A freak hunting accident has left one man dead.

Officials say, Raymond Seville Jr. and his wide drove to his hunting stand, near Belfast Township, early in the morning on Saturday, November 25.

Seville, who is in his late 70s, asked his wife to help him into his tree stand near Belfast Township.  Seville reportedly had mobility issues.

Unbeknownst to Seville, a propane tank in the deer stand was leaking gas.  Perhaps because of rodents chewing on hoses.

Seville lit the gas heater and immediately was consumed in flames.  His wife attempted to help him out of the deer stand but was simply not physically able.  Seville died of smoke inhalation.  He also had burns on his body.

Fulton County Coroner Berley Souders pronounced Seville dead at 8:30 a.m.
