After our extreme summer rain events, the weather took a turn during the autumn months.
Temperatures were well above average. Precipitation was well below average.
As a matter of fact, it was the 7th warmest autumn for Paducah.
It was the 10th warmest autumn for Cape Girardeau.
Carbondale and Evansville recorded their 9th driest autumn on record.
Seasonal rain totals. These totals are from September 1st through the end of November. Meteorologists consider autumn to be September October, and November.
Let’s look back at November.
Temperatures were well above average.
It was very dry across much of the region.
Paducah had its 4th driest November.
Evansville had its 6th driest November.
Cape Girardeau had its 2nd driest November.
Carbondale had its 4th driest November.
Poplar bluff had its 8th driest November on record.
