PADUCAH, Ky. (December 2, 2023) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans asphalt paving along KY 1497/Murray-Paris Road and a section of KY 464/West Fork Road in Calloway County this week.
Motorists should be alert for work zone restrictions to allow maintenance patching at the following locations:
KY 1497/Murray Paris Road
Maintenance patching at various locations from the 893/State Line Road intersection extending northward to near the 4 mile marker at Dodd Road
KY 464/West Fork Road
Paving of a cross drain repair cap near the Hopkins Road intersection near the 10.5 mile point
Most of the locations have been milled.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
The contractor expects the paving work at these locations to take about 5 days to complete, weather permitting.
