PADUCAH, Ky. (December 2, 2023) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans asphalt paving in Graves County along sections of KY 464/Backusburg Road, and KY 1241, along with base repair work at various locations along KY 339.
Motorists should be alert for work zone lane restrictions at the following locations starting Monday, December 4
KY 464Backusburg Road
From mile point 7.395 at the KY 564 intersection extending eastward to the 9 mile marker at the Graves-Calloway Line, a distance of just over 1.6 miles
KY 1241/Old U.S. 45
From mile point 4.526 at the KY 408 intersection at West Viola extending northward to U.S 45 at mile point 6.619 near Folsomdale, a distance of just over 2.1 miles
KY 339
Base Repairs at various locations from mile point 28.737 at the KY 121 intersection extending northward through Lowes to the 38 mile marker at the KY 945 intersection south of Melber, a distance of 9.26 miles
The work at these locations is expected to take about two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
These projects include a total of 12.99 miles of highway covered by rural secondary funding.
