MURRAY, KY – On December 4th, 2023, a routine traffic stop by a deputy with the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office in the area of Murray Paris Rd. and Justice Rd. led to the apprehension of Timothy A. Perdue, 53, of Benton, KY, a known drug trafficker with an extensive criminal history.
During the traffic stop, the deputy identified Perdue as a passenger in the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 60 grams of crystal Methamphetamine, and a quantity of cash found in Perdue’s possession. While in custody, it was discovered that Perdue had a baggie of Cocaine in his mouth, attempting to ingest it. Deputies successfully seized the baggie, weighing 2.4 grams.
Perdue was promptly transported to the hospital for medical clearance before being lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center. The charges brought against him include:
- Trafficking Methamphetamine 2nd Offense
- Trafficking Cocaine 2nd Offense
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
Records revealed Perdue’s extensive criminal history, specifically in distributing methamphetamine and other illegal drugs in various counties in Kentucky. Additionally, it was learned that he had two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest from Simpson County, Kentucky. Shockingly, Perdue had been on the run, absconding parole for nearly 18 months with a Kentucky Parole Board warrant.
