The City of Sikeston is implementing a new way of getting information out to the public with a text alert service on your cellphone. By signing up for this free service called SlickText, you can opt in to be alerted to information pertaining to just meetings/events in Sikeston, severe weather in our area or both. Sign-up is easy with three convenient ways:
1. Text either meetings (for meeting/event alerts only); weather (for severe weather alerts only); or join (for all information) to 877-810-9128.
2. Call 475-3702 and the information will be entered for you. You will receive a text to confirm your account setup.
3. Visit our website at www.sikeston.org and you can sign up via the SlickText popup.
You will receive at least one text alert each week if you opt for the meetings or join alerts.
