PADUCAH, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) —

This Saturday, members of the Paducah Police Department, McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, The Police Foundation of Paducah-McCracken County, Inc. and Kentucky Division of Probation and Parole helped 43 children have a Merry Christmas through the Christmas Cops program.

Children were paired with officers and allowed to pick out their Christmas gifts. After Christmas shopping, the officers, children and their families were treated to lunch at Walker Hall Event Center. After lunch, the children and families were taken grocery shopping. We are lucky to have the support and assistance of wonderful organizations such as Christmas Cops, Walmart, Kroger , Paducah Area Transit System, and CSI that make this day possible for the families in our area. Also a big thank you to all the donations and law enforcement professionals that made this day so great for the families.
