MARSHALL COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — in January of 2018, 15-year-old Gabe Parker shot multiple students at the Marshall County High School.  Two were killed in the violent assault.

Now, five years later, four victims of the shooting have been awarded $36.7 million dollars by a court.

The $36.7 million dollars judgment is against Gabe Parker, his mother Mary Minyard, and his stepfather, Justin Minyard.

That judgment is against the shooter, Gabe Parker, his mother Mary Minyard, and his stepfather Justin Minyard.

Four plaintiffs filed the civil lawsuit in 2019.  The plaintiffs are Mary Bella James, Gage Smock, Dalton Keeling, and the estate of Bailey Holt.

Parker, the shooter, who killed two classmates and injured others was sentenced to two life sentences.

He will receive an additional 70 years in prison for 14 counts of assault in connection with the shooting at Marshall County High School on Jan. 23, 2018.

He will be eligible for parole in 20 years.
