WILLIAMSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (NewsFirst) —
Three in Custody – Fentanyl & Methamphetamine
Williamson County, Illinois – On December 11, 2023, at 0924 hours, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies observed a vehicle commit multiple violations of the Illinois Vehicle Code.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, identified as Patricia A. Goforth, was discovered to have a suspended driver’s license.
The passengers of the vehicle were identified as Adam S. Gilreath and Edward A. Devries.
While speaking with the occupants of the vehicle one passenger stated they were traveling to Denver for vacation while another occupant was not sure where they were traveling to, where they had been, or the details of their travels.
One occupant stated that they never made it to their destination because they had been robbed.
A probable cause search of the vehicle discovered hypodermic syringes, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.
During the search, Deputies located a large number of debit/credit cards, social security cards, insurance cards, and driver’s licenses from numerous unidentified individuals who were not on scene.
Goforth was issued the following citations:
Driving While license Suspended/Revoked
No Valid Driver’s License (Ticket: # 46670).
Gilreath was issued the following citations:
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Possession of Methamphetamine
Devries was issued the following citations:
Unlawful Possession of 2 or More Debit/Credit Cards
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Additional charges related to the fentanyl are expected pending laboratory testing.
Goforth, Gilreath, and Devries were transported to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
