MARSHALL COUNTY, KY. — On December 26, 2023, just after 9:00 p.m., deputies were dispatched to I-24 near the 28-mile marker, just prior to the Tennessee River bridge, in response to a report of a male walking in the westbound lane. Subsequently, a second call was received, indicating the male was on the bridge and walking east in the westbound lane.
Upon arrival, deputies observed a male on the shoulder of the fast lane lying on the roadway near the top of the Tennessee River bridge. By the time deputies turned around to approach the area, the male had disappeared. Despite immediate efforts to locate him, the search and rescue mission on the Tennessee River has proven unsuccessful.
The male is described as a white male with a bald head and barefoot. When last seen by a motorist, he was wearing blue jeans, green New Balance tennis shoes, and a red plaid flannel jacket.
