PADUCAH, KY – The Paducah Police Department was honored today for nearly 15 years of volunteering at Paducah Power System’s Christmas In the Park. Chief Brian Laird and his assistant, Robin Newberry, accepted the certificate on behalf of the department. “It has been our honor and our pleasure to accept canned goods and money at the Santa House all these years,” Chief Laird said. “The excitement on the faces of the kids who come through, and the knowledge that you’re helping those in need, make standing out in the cold a little more tolerable.” Paducah Power System
