MAYFIELD, KY – On January 20, 2024 at 10:30 PM, Deputy Austin Ramage and KSP Trooper Matthew Fleming responded to an address on Kentucky 1241 in the Hickory area for a domestic violence complaint. It was reported to Deputy Ramage and Trooper Flemming that Ronald Coleman, had hit the victim in the face and was still on scene at the time of the call.

Kentucky State Police Dispatch advised units that Coleman had a parole violation warrant from Marshall County for absconding in March of 2023. Once units arrived on scene, they found Coleman had fled on foot and was outside in the weather. Once on scene it was discovered that Coleman had choked the victim during the altercation. Deputy Tyler Crane and Deputy Chad Hall then responded to the scene to assist with the search of Coleman. Emergency Management was contacted and updated on the situation. The McCracken County Sheriff’s Offices responded to assist as well, sending two deputies along with a K-9 and a drone. After a long search Coleman was located and arrested without incident.

He was charged with the Parole Violation Warrant from Marshall County, Assault 4th Degree (Domestic Violence) Minor injury, and Strangulation 1st Degree. Coleman was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.
