METROPOLIS, ILLINOIS (NewsFirst) — Around 11:30 PM Saturday, both the City Police Department and Massac 911 received a distress call reporting a stabbing incident involving four individuals at Humma Apartments.
Officers from both agencies promptly arrived at the scene only to find the apartment door locked.
After gaining entry, they discovered that there were no stabbings; instead, a person was experiencing hallucinations induced by a drug they had taken.
Massac EMS was notified, and the individual was eventually transported to the hospital. This incident concluded at 5:29 AM.
