ALEXANDER COUNTY, ILLINOIS (NewsFirst) — Alexander County authorities are reporting a car crash that killed two people Tuesday afternoon.
Both the Sheriff’s department and Illinois State Police reported the accident along Route 3 in the county. 911 calls reported an accident shortly after 2:40 p.m.
Multiple officers and ambulances responded to the accident location. Upon arriving at the scene officers reported a black Toyota pickup truck and a white Lexus had collided.
Two people were reported dead at the scene.
Names are not being released until the families of the deceased have been notified.
