Shoulder stabilization work planned 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Thursday

PADUCAH, Ky. (January 31, 2024)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an eastbound work zone lane restriction along a section of U.S. 68/Hopkinsville Road in eastern Trigg County on Thursday, February 1, 2024.

This eastbound work zone lane restriction is planned along U.S. 68 near the 26 mile marker to allow shoulder stabilization work along the right-of-way near the Stillhouse Branch Culvert.  This is along U.S. 68/Hopkinsville Road between KY 958/Barefield Road and KY 128/Wallonia Road – about 2 miles west of the Trigg-Christian County Line.

All eastbound traffic will be moved to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.

The work zone is expected to be in place from about 7:30 a.m., CST, to about 2 p.m., Thursday.

Motorists should be alert for trucks hauling material into and out of the work zone.

Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
