LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — On January 31st, 2024r, at approximately 6:50am, Livingston County First Responders were dispatched to 940 Dover Road for a single vehicle injury collision.

Investigation reveals that Lewis Tucker, an 80-year-old resident of Mayfield, KY, was driving a dump truck southbound on Dover Road. The incident occurred when the right-side tires veered off the road, prompting Tucker to overcorrect, resulting in the overturning of the truck. Tucker was taken to Mercy Health Lourdes for the treatment of injuries that were non-incapacitating.

Due to a substantial spillage of gravel on the road, Dover Road is anticipated to undergo closure for approximately 2-3 hours to facilitate the cleanup process.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is receiving support from Livingston County Emergency Management, Grand Lakes Fire Department, Livingston County EMS, Kentucky State Highway Department, Burl’s Wrecker Service, and Stinnett’s Wrecker Service.

The roadway should be open by 11:30a.m.
