WILLIAMSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (NewsFirst) — Williamson County, Illinois – On February 04, 2024, at 1948 hours, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations near the intersection of 13th Street and Poplar Street in Herrin.

A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was identified as Eric W. Aderholt.

A K9 was deployed to conduct a free air sniff of the vehicle which provided a positive alert to the odor of narcotics.

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted which located a clear plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance that later field tested positive for Methamphetamine.

Aderholt was arrested and cited for:

Possession of Methamphetamine

Operating Uninsured Vehicle

Disobey Stop Sign

Aderholt was transported to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
