Closure is until further notice
PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 6, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has closed a section of KY 1128 in Fulton County.
KY 1128 is closed at the Mud Creek East Fork Bridge at mile point 6.396 after a detailed inspection of the bridge found structural issues.
The bridge is along KY 1128 between KY 1127 and Alexander Road.
The bridge will remain closed until further notice while KYTC District 1 engineers determine if the bridge can be repaired or should be replaced.
There is no marked detour.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is responsible for inspecting bridges and overpasses on all public roadways in the Commonwealth. All bridges get a detailed inspection every two years with long-span lake and river bridges getting an additional walk-through inspection annually.
KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide a timely update once engineers have evaluated the Mud Creek East Fork Bridge to develop a repair or replacement plan.
