Work zone to have one lane traffic with automated signal
PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 9, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a work zone lane restriction on KY 121 near the Graves-Carlisle County Line starting Monday, February 12, 2024.
KY 121 will be restricted to one lane in Graves County near the 20 mile marker to allow a 250 ft. section of waffled pavement to be milled up and replaced with a 10-inch layer of concrete.
Motorists should be alert for one lane traffic with an automated signal in this work zone. Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
The work zone is expected to be in place by 10 a.m., Monday. The work is expected to take about 3 to 4 weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
The target completion date is March 8, 2024.
KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely updates should the work be completed earlier than expected.
