MURRAY, KY (NEWS FIRST) – On Jan 27, 2024 deputies were dispatched to a residential burglary on Beat Farm Road. The victim stated he had arrived to find a door had been pried open and firearms and multiple tools had been taken from the residence.
The investigation led deputies to execute multiple search warrants which led to the recovery of some of the stolen items at the residence of James P. Burress and he was arrested on Feb 6, 2024. He was also found to possess illicit drugs. The items recovered totaled over $6,000. Information gathered through the course of the investigation led deputies to obtain an arrest warrant for David W. Bugden who was lodged on Feb 8, 2024.
Both individuals are convicted felons. Burress stemming from felony drug charges in 2018. Bugden was out on bond from a felony case in November of 2022. He became a convicted felon in 2018 on drug and theft charges.
