PADUCAH, Ky. (News First) – If you have been driving along Hinkleville Road near the I-24 interchange and noticed several acres that have been cleared, you may be interested in knowing what’s expected to be built.

According to the Paducah Planning and Zoning Department, a seven building, 84 unit apartment complex is scheduled to be under construction. BLP Development, LLC has been the owner of the 8 acre tract of land along Hinkleville Road. The land is also adjacent to the Conrad Heights neighborhood.

At one point in 2021, BLP’s Managing Member Cameron Taleban wanted to place a commercial business development on the land, similar to other shopping centers along Hinkleville Road. This was met with a lot of opposition from residents of Conrad Heights, and it now appears more than three years later, Taleban will be going with an apartment complex instead.

The plans filed in 2022 indicates seven buildings with ample parking, and a total of 84 apartment units being built. There is no information on whether the site will be built out all at once, or in phases. A completion date has not been announced either.
