PADUCAH, KY – (NEWS FIRST) At approximately 11:50 a.m. on Feb. 13, 2024, a McCracken County Sheriff’s Office deputy observed a vehicle being driven in a suspicious manner in the Elmdale Road area of Paducah, Ky. The deputy quickly learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen in Illinois earlier that day.
Before the deputy could attempt to stop the vehicle, the driver parked and entered a residence on Elmdale Road. Additional deputies arrived to assist and eventually located Sophia Scott, 40, of Paducah, Ky., inside the residence. The deputy identified Scott as the operator of the stolen vehicle.
Scott was arrested for receiving stolen property valued over $1,000 and was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
