LYON COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — On this School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, we want to give a shout out to SRO Deputies Jason Young and Cory Jessup. These two work hard every day to keep students, staff, and visitors safe.
What many don’t know is they also donate a majority of their time outside of school whether for mentoring or safeguarding students at ballgames, or other school events.
They are the lions at the gate, the teddy bears when students just need someone to talk to, and life coaches when students or parents are having difficulty communicating between school and home life. Whichever it is, the community appreciates what they do for their community and school each and every day.
