Repairs expected to start next week
PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 16, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has closed a section of KY 1728/Farmers Gin Road at the north edge of Clinton in Hickman County due to a damaged culvert.
KY 1728/Farmers Gin Road is closed at mile point 0.75 between U.S. 51 and Short Street where water has created a hole in the roadway at a culvert that carries a tributary of Cane Creek. This is along KY 1728/Farmers Gin Road near the northernmost connection to U.S. 51.
There is no marked detour.
KYTC engineers are evaluating the 4 ft. wide by 6 ft. deep hole with plans to replace or repair the culvert early next week as weather allows.
KYTC District 1 will attempt to provide timely notice when repairs are completed and the roadway reopened to traffic.
