MURRAY, KY (NEWS FIRST) — Students from the Area Technology Center (ATC) showcased their skills at the Murray/Calloway County ATC Skills USA-KY Region 1 Leadership Competitions hosted by AGC of West KY. The event took place at the WKCTCS Anderson Building in Paducah.

Participating schools from Region 1 included Murray/Calloway County ATC, Marshall County Tech Center, Mayfield/Graves County ATC, Four Rivers Career Academy (Fulton Co. ATC), Paducah ATC, and Mayfield Independent High School.

In the competitions held on February 16, 2024, Murray/Calloway Co. ATC members excelled, with Ashton Robinson from CCHS securing 2nd place in Prepared Speech, Kamrym Newberry from CCHS taking 3rd place in Job Skill Demo “A,” Jaden Kunkle from CCHS clinching 1st place in Pin Design, Sage Mize-Harper from MHS winning 1st place in Extemporaneous Speaking, Adren Miller from MHS securing 2nd place in Banner design, and Wyatt Buffington from MHS achieving 1st place in Talent Single.

Group competitors from various area schools also showcased their talents at the event, highlighting the diverse skill sets of students from the region.
