Williamson County, Illinois – On February 18, 2024, at 0911 hours, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the report of a Domestic Battery in rural Cambria.
Upon arrival, Deputies discovered that a female had arrived home at approximately 1600 hours yesterday to discover a male subject, identified as Larry D. Parsons, hiding in her bedroom.
Parsons is the subject of an order of protection prohibiting him from having contact with the victim or the address of her residence.
Parsons was armed with a knife, threatened to kill the victim, struck her in the head with a metal object, and held her captive until she was able to escape early this morning.
Parsons told the victim, “We’re both going to die tonight”.
Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the victims location where she was able to report the incident and receive medical treatment.
Deputies then traveled to the victims residence to confirm Parsons had departed. As Deputies arrived they observed Parsons loading the victims belongings into his vehicle. Deputies attempted to apprehend Parsons who successfully fled from the scene leading Deputies on a pursuit.
Parsons traveled through Cambria at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle. Pearson’s vehicle struck multiple utility poles, rolled over, and came to rest in a ditch.
The utility poles were sheared in half and utility lines were down.
Parsons was extricated from the vehicle using the “jaws of life” to cut him out of the badly damaged vehicle.
Parsons was arrested and transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.
