MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — The Concord Fire Departmet was dispatched to a reported grass fire near the railroad tracks in the 5400 Block of Commerce Dr. CFD was dispatched due to Paducah Fire being on scene of a Commercial Structure Fire. CFD arrived on scene 1 minute and 47 seconds following the dispatch and found roughly one acre of grass and brush burning, CFD started fire suppression and working the “Fire Line” of the fire.

Due to High Wind gusts and extremely dry vegetation the fire began to become out of control and threaten 2 structures as well as vehicles traveling on Olivet Church Road.

CFD requested PFD to start any available Engines to the incident to be able to stop fire spread from homes and personal property nearby.

Exactly one hour after dispatch the fire was deemed under control by units on scene and the fire was then not threatening any structures or property. CFD and PFD worked on hotspots until all fire was out and CFD cleared at 3:33 PM. All agency’s that were on scene are listed below.
