CRITTENDEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office reports the following: On 2/19/2024 at approximately 5:47PM, The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office along with Kentucky State Police and Constable Greg Rushing, attempted to arrest Edward “Butchie” Piper on a Parole Violation Warrant.
Piper fled from officers on foot through a field. Piper was apprehended a short while later, found hiding in a ditch and brush pile.
Mr. Piper was taken into custody without further incident and was also charged with fleeing or evading police (on foot), 2nd degree, resisting arrest, drug paraphernalia, and possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), 1st degree, 2nd offense. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Jail.
