PADUCAH, KY (NEWS FIRST) – Fall 2023 developers announced a delay in the boutique hotel portion of the City Block Project in downtown Paducah. Despite the passage of time, city leaders remain without an update, prompting inquiries from concerned citizens.
Weyland Ventures declared a delay following the completion of a new parking lot. The decision arose due to the loss of local financing from Paducah Bank, construction design issues, and challenges in obtaining subcontractors.
Mayor George Bray had indicated in October that more information would be available soon. However, the city has not been able to provide a comprehensive update on the hotel site, which remains enclosed by fencing adjacent to the new parking lot.
