PADUCAH, Ky. (Feb. 22, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) informs that one lane traffic with an automated signal will persist on KY 121 near the Graves-Carlisle County Line until Friday. A contractor working for KYTC aims to finalize the ongoing work this week or early next week.

KY 121 will remain under a single lane restriction in Graves County, specifically near the 20-mile marker, until Friday. This restriction facilitates the replacement of a 250 ft. section of waffled pavement with a 10-inch layer of concrete. Although most of the repair work is done, the lane restriction will persist to allow the concrete used for the repairs to properly cure.

Motorists are advised to stay vigilant for one lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by an automated signal within this work zone. The lane restriction has been enforced since February 12.

The project’s progress is ahead of schedule, primarily due to favorable weather conditions.

KYTC District 1 endeavors to provide timely updates regarding the completion of the work and the restoration of normal traffic flow.
