GRAVES COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — Drug Trafficking Arrest

On February 22nd at approximately 8:45 PM, Deputy Tyler Crane received a call from an off-duty deputy who reported a vehicle traveling Northbound on Interstate 69 with faulty equipment, making it a hazard to other motorists.

Deputy Crane located the vehicle near the 28-mile marker of Interstate 69 and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.

During the stop, it was determined that Jackie Brown, 46 of Henderson, KY, was the operator of the vehicle in question and he did not have a driver’s license. After some investigation, a vehicle search was conducted.

During the search of the vehicle, Deputy Crane located a bag concealed in the passenger floorboard that contained over two ounces of methamphetamine as well as a small amount of marijuana. In a separate bag, a pipe used for ingesting Methamphetamine was located as well.

Deputy Crane was assisted by Deputy Chad Hall and Deputy Austin Ramage assisted on scene during this investigation.

Jackie R. Brown was arrested and charged with the following: Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine) Greater than 2 Grams 2nd or Greater Offense, Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess, Improper Equipment, Careless driving and No Operator’s License.

Brown was transported to the Graves County RC Center and was later transported to an out of county facility by Graves County Jail Staff.
