FULTON COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — Fulton County Sheriff’s Office reported that The Wine Cellar in Fulton, and The Wine Cellar II in Hickman, were issued citations for selling alcohol beverages to a minor 1st offense.

The Sheriff’s report said on Feb 6, 2024, an underaged confidential informant was sent into each business, where the individual purchased a twelve pack of Corona beer from each store. The clerks of the stores did not ask for identification. Kentucky law requires that a person be at least twenty-one (21) years old to buy, consume, or possess an alcoholic beverage.

During appearances in Fulton County District Court, both establishments were issued fines and court costs of $263 dollars each.

Reports said both businesses were also issued fines of $2,500 by the State Alcohol Beverage Control.
