WILLIAMSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (NewsFirst) — Methamphetamine & Drug Paraphernalia

Williamson County, Illinois – On February 15, 2024, at 0022 hours, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies observed a vehicle traveling on Dr. Springs Road without valid vehicle registration.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, James R. Hansil, was discovered to have a suspended driver’s license.

Hansil was arrested and a vehicle inventory resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia and a clear plastic bag containing a crystal like substance which later field tested positive for Methamphetamine.

Hansil was cited for the following:

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Driving while License Suspended

No Valid Driver’s License

Expired Registration

Hansil was transported to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
