MURRAY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Monday, February 26th, 2023, an officer with the Murray Police Department stopped a vehicle on Elm Street for an equipment violation. During the traffic stop, evidence of criminal activity was discovered. Subsequently, the driver of the vehicle and both passengers were arrested and charged with the following:
Dion Thompson, 46, Cadiz, KY
– Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
– Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Rear License Plate not Illuminated
Wendy Gomes, 57, Cadiz, KY
– Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Whitney Gibson, 35, Benton, KY
– Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
