The Illinois Department of Transportation announced today that a culvert replacement project will require a weekend closure in both directions of Illinois 146, just east of Vienna City Park and approximately one mile west of Interstate 24 in Johnson County, starting, weather permitting, at 6 p.m. Friday, March 1.
A posted detour will be in place to safely guide motorists around the closure. The work is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. Monday, March 3.
Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changing conditions and all detour signs prior to the work zone, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.
