MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — On 02/28/2024, Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations in the area of Jason Circle and Old US HWY 60 in McCracken County. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Jeremiah R. Lampkin, 46, of West Paducah.

During the course of the traffic stop, it was discovered that Lampkin was in possession of a handgun. Lampkin is a convicted felon for prior drug offenses and other crimes and is prohibited by law from possessing any and all firearms. Lampkin is also on supervised release through Probation and Parole for prior offenses.

Following the traffic stop, Detectives along with Probation and Parole conducted a search of Lampkin’s residence. During the search of the residence, Detectives located an additional handgun, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia

Jeremiah R. Lampkin was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
