Work to take about one week to complete
PADUCAH, Ky. (March 1, 2024) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans sidewalk and drainage work at the court square in Downtown Benton starting Monday, March 4, 2024.
Motorists should be alert for a shoulder closure and closure of some parking spaces near the intersection of U.S. 641/Main Street and KY 58/West 12th Street at the southwest edge of the courthouse. The contractor will set up a work zone to upgrade an ADA compliant wheelchair ramp at the courthouse, and repair the top of a damaged drainage inlet box nearby.
The work is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
