WILLIAMSON COUNTY, ILLINOIS (NewsFirst) —

Possession Of Controlled Substance – Fentanyl

Williamson County, Illinois – On February 24, 2024, at 1644 hours, Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies observed a vehicle traveling on Illinois Route 13 West of Interstate 57 when it committed a traffic violation.

A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Amanda B. Prince. The passenger was identified as Adam M. Calvert.

Prince was unable to provide proof of insurance and did not have her driver’s license on her person.

While completing a citation a Williamson County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit arrived on scene and performed a free air sniff of the vehicle.

The Deputy advised that K9 “Roxy” had alerted to the odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle.

Prince and Calvert were asked to exit the vehicle. While searching Calvert’s person, Deputies located a white plastic bottle containing approximately 1.74 grams of a white powdery substance and multiple pink capsules (weighing approximately 10.14 grams) which later field tested positive for the presence of Fentanyl.

Calvert was cited for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Prince was cited for Failure To Signal When Required and Operating Uninsured Vehicle.

Calvert was transported to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
