*CCSO Press Release-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-03/04/2024*

On March 4th, at approximately 3:30 PM, Christian County Deputies assisted the Hopkinsville Police Department (HPD) in attempting to locate 37-year-old Bobby Boyd, who had seven outstanding warrants. Deputies remained in the area and observed Boyd’s residence in the 100 block of Edmunds Street.

After observing Boyd’s movements in the home and confirming his identity, law enforcement surrounded the residence and made announcements for him to surrender. Due to Boyd’s history of fleeing and evading police, including a previous conviction for Burglary 3rd and a Persistent Felony Offender charge, K9 Deputy Stallons breached the door and apprehended Boyd with the assistance of his partner Chiko.

Along with service of the warrants, Boyd was additionally charged with resisting arrest and taken into custody and transported to the Christian County Jail without further incident. He was cleared by medical staff at Jennie Stuart Medical Center before being booked.

This incident demonstrates the collaborative efforts of the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and the Hopkinsville Police Department to apprehend individuals with outstanding warrants and prioritize public safety.
