NEW MADRID, MISSOURI (NewsFirst) — On March 4th, 2024 Deputies were dispatched to the 300 Block of Shelly Street located in Parma for an assault with multiple injured victims. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the first victim who was drenched in blood with a visible laceration on her left cheek while having trouble breathing. A second victim was located inside the residence with injuries.
While investigating this incident the suspect was identified as Robert L. Waters Jr. While speaking to witnesses it was discovered Mr. Waters had attacked one of the victims with a liquor bottle.
The second victim obtained her injuries due to trying to protect the first victim from Mr. Waters. The victim was found sitting on the floor covered in blood with a very large laceration on her back close to her neck. Her second injury was a puncture-style wound to her left arm.
Two children were present when the incident occurred, one 7 years old and one 5 months old. Neither child was hurt during the altercation.
Both victims were transported for their injuries.
Waters has not been apprehended and currently has a Felony warrant on Domestic Assault 2nd Degree, Assault 2nd degree, Armed criminal action (x2), Endangering The Welfare Of A Child Creating Substantial Risk (x2) with a $25,000.00 Cash Only Bond.
