CHRISTIAN COUNTY, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — CCSO Press Release-FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE-03/06/2024

Christian County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Suspect for Criminal Trespass and Public Intoxication

On March 6th, Christian County Deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a residence in Crofton, KY. The suspect, 50-year-old Rusty Bean, was described as a white male wearing blue jeans, an orange shirt, and a black jacket, and was reportedly “out of it”.

Sgt. Spann made contact with the suspect in front of a residence in the 100 block of McBride Ln, where he claimed to be visiting a friend. However, further investigation revealed that the suspect had no connection to the residence and had entered uninvited.

During the encounter, deputies observed the suspect to be manifestly under the influence of drugs, displaying bloodshot eyes, excessive lip-licking, uneasy balance, and an inability to maintain eye contact. These behaviors indicated a state of intoxication.

The suspect was arrested and charged with:

* Criminal Trespass-1st Degree

* Public Intoxication-Controlled Substance (excluding alcohol)

Bean was transported to the Christian County Jail.
