BENTON, KENTUCKY (NewsFirst) — * Recent Arrests *
02/24/24 – Jacob G. Vanwaters, 41, of Benton was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree (on foot), resisting arrest, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (meth), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
02/28/24 – Caleb Wagers, 37, of Paducah, was arrested and charged with a probation violation (felony offense) out of McCracken County.
02/28/24 – Cesar V. Mounts, 33, of Benton, arrested and charged with a warrant out of Marshall County for failure to comply with sex offender registration (1st offense). This charged stemmed from an investigation by our agency after we received a report that Mounts was now living at an address here in Benton.
02/28/24 – Lori J. Blades, 52, of Gilbertsville was arrested and charged with a contempt of court warrant out of Caldwell County, for violation of terms of shock probation.
03/08/24 – Gabrielle R. Gowen, 27, of Farmington, was arrested and charged with the following :
trafficking controlled substance , 1st offense (fentanyl), possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (hydrocodone), possession of controlled substance 3rd degree (drug unspecified), prescription controlled substance not in proper container, 1st offense, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of open alcohol beverage container in motor vehicle, and public intoxication (excludes alcohol). This incident stemmed from a complaint we received for a welfare check, about individuals who were “nodding off” inside their vehicle, while parked at a business.
