As a reminder, it is still winter for a few more days. This cold shot is not unusual.
By now you are well aware of the potential for frost/freeze conditions tonight and tomorrow night. We have been talking about it for days on end.
Those who want to protect their sensitive plants, should do that today (in preparation for tonight and tomorrow night’s cold temperatures).
It has been pointed out by quite a few gardeners that plastic bags are not the best option, when protecting plants. Plastic bags could cause more problems than they solve.
Use your search engines like Google and other for tips on protecting your plants.
Lows tonight will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Isolated colder.
Lows Monday night/Tuesday morning will dip into the middle and upper 20s.
The best case is we are off by 3 to 6 degrees, and it ends up being slightly not as cold. More lower 30s vs mid/upper 20s.
How many hours we are below freezing will help decide whether your fruit crops/other plants are damaged/destroyed.
Here are the latest numbers for tonight/tomorrow.
Temperatures usually vary, even within a county. Low spots can be several degrees colder. High spots several degrees not as cold.
Tomorrow night
